Why iii Love the Moon | Phony Ppl

It's constant
unlike these human beings...

“We just started to play with no intentions of making a song, just jammin’ on ideas, and the record button happened to be on.”

New art and all that jazz from Brooklyn's own, PHONY PPL.  Their upcoming project, Yesterday's Tomorrow, drops Tuesday.. January 13th.

Video :: Sober | Childish Gambino

If you just give me some time
I can open up your mind...

New video from Gambino's 'KAUAI' side of the 'STN MTN/KAUAI' tape.  In this visual, he does his best rendition of 'how to annoy a girl waiting for her food' with dramatics to the lyrics and smooth killer dance moves, while his reasoning is presented mid way through.
In the end, cordialness prevails.  Watch below::

Nobody sick as him
And I'm speaking in third person...

New music from CyHi (the Gawd).  Unfortunately, this was released under shaky circumstances.  According to Sclasstakeover, the track is a reaction to Cyhi's snubb from Rap Radar's prominent Elliot Wilson's 'Best Mixtapes of 2014'; which explains the artwork. I know we're just unknown people on a little known blog, but if Cyhi only knew how valued he was on this side... and/or appeared on our Top 2014 list.  We have your back man.  Listen to Cyhi blow off some steam on Credit 'I' Deserve below::

"Just know I came out on top....missionary."

Know What I Want (esta. Remix) | Kali Uchis

I notice everything

I just act like don't...

The moment when you wish you kept him in the friend zone.

DASH put me on to Kali months ago.  For that, I took interest into this new birdie on soundcloud.  DJ Esta unleashed a groovy revamp for Columbian songstress' track 'I Know what I Want'.  The Soulection affiliate infused the soulful ambiance perfectly.

The Votes are In:: Top 5 Albums of 2014

The annual tradition continues.  With the submissions I received this time around, I think it's safe to say.. I should definitely change the header for the 2015 year to Top Projects.  Many submitted more than five for their list, which is alright with me.  I love the responses.  I probably look forward to this post more than any other.  Check out the responses from folk for the Top Albums of 2014 after the jump!

#LatePost.  Due to the insane lineup... i HAD to go this time around.  Oh the elements.  I had SOOOO Much fun.  I was genuinely in the best mood ever and enjoyed more than I can express.  Everyone ROCKED their set.   Taco and his homie showing some love to a G in passing while I was in my zone (dancing & rapping to Mac's 'Watching Movies' to be exact) ;-) added the icing on the cake.  I snap photos in between times of awesomeness to capture the memories.. and to also share with those who couldn't make it.  'Summer fun' in November.  Enjoy!
