“What are your plans to give back to the community?”
The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarships to students with GPA’s of 2.0, single mothers, students who have received their GED, students who have been previously incarcerated etc. but still aim for an opportunity at higher education.
Those who are a high school senior, college student, or between the ages of 18-25 pursuing studies at a vocational or trade school are eligible for the scholarship. All applicants for this year must be a U.S. Citizen and complete the on-line application NLT or by the set deadline of May 31, 2013.
This is contrary to most scholarship funds which are typically offered to those succeeding in academics, sports, etc. This is what makes Jay’s so special. We shouldn’t count the others out. Everybody deserves at least one shot….
