Being that I can recite the entire Willy Wonka script without the movie even playing, it's no question that when I saw the video still... I was intrigued immediately.  I'm glad I clicked into it.  The creative juices were flowing rapidly for this visual.

Under the direction of Hunter Lyon, 'No Way' begins with an Apple comp booting and the mouse opening the web browser to watch OnCue's 'No Way' video.  From there, it takes you into live reenactment of some recognizable memes that have been floating in today's world of social media.  Wonka, the 'fxck her right in the pxssy' dude, Justin Bieb, and more .. all in one.   The Connecticut rappers lyrics add a nice spice to all.  Cleverrrr.

While this track originally appeared on Kitty Cash's Love the Free Vol. I mixtape back in 2013, Phony Ppl bring us the visual in present day.  The vibes from this soul release feel good energy.  Groove on.  

Directed by Antonella Alberti, the visual lays out simplistic as an audition with ladies of all sorts for the video.

Video :: Rich White Friends | OverDoz.

“The concept for the song came from an experience during last year’s Coachella Music Festival. We were invited to the festival by some of our white homies. During the weekend, we stayed at their mansion and just witnessed all the crazy shit they were doing. At one point, we even heard one of them yell out ‘nigga’ when a Kendrick Lamar’s song came on. Ultimately, ‘Rich White Friends’ is just our view of what’s going on in the world today, everyone’s story is different, this is ours.”- OverDoz.

I'm sure we can all relate to that particular encounter in one way or another.  In my case, I can relate to the 'nigga' portion at concerts and so forth.  The visual piggy backs off of the initial concept with a captive story line chronicling a day of OverDoz hanging with a preppy frat.  Vibrant and fun, but very much gravitated towards focal points that hit reality on the head.

R & B crooner Tiara Thomas steps back on the scene proving she can drive in more than one lane- left signal at full speed to rapping.  In just 1 minute and 17 seconds for "Fly as Hell", she captures your full attention with a nice ass flow.   Directed by Shane Adams, Tiara spits so coolie in one continuous shot.  Ya'll know I'm a sucka for a hot sample and this Mos Def (more notable) sample is bananas.

It's moments like this I'm elated that I've been able to see N.E.R.D. live twice so far in this lifetime.  They are truly one of a kind. 

A fun kid-friendly visual dropped today for N.E.R.D's latest catchy tune, 'Squeeze Me', from "The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water".  The movie hits theaters February 6, 2015.

The landscape shots in this video are beautiful.  They accompany this metaphorical rider with a head on capture of its vehement essence.  Although, Kendrick Lamar's verse is still featured in the song for the visual, he does not appear in the video.  However, Chris Brown's girlfriend, Karrueche, does.  Even with Kendrick's absence, his insane artistry that he painted through his verse on this one is unbreakable.  X is in stores now.  Watch the video below::

Real Life Sitcha-tions :: Jhene Aiko uses Baby Father, O'Ryan, for new video "Spotless Mind"

As if her lyrics don't get real enough and hit home for a lot of us (i know they do for me), Jhene takes reality up a notch.  In this video, she uses her daughter's-father, O'Ryan (Singer Omarion's younger brother), as her love interest.

New music from CyHi (the Gawd).  Unfortunately, this was released under shaky circumstances.  According to Sclasstakeover, the track is a reaction to Cyhi's snubb from Rap Radar's prominent Elliot Wilson's 'Best Mixtapes of 2014'; which explains the artwork. #LatePost.  Due to the insane lineup... i HAD to go this time around.  Oh the elements.  I had SOOOO Much fun.  I was genuinely in the best mood ever and enjoyed more than I can express.  Everyone ROCKED their set.   Taco and his homie showing some love to a G in passing while I was in my zone (dancing & rapping to Mac's 'Watching Movies' to be exact) ;-) added the icing on the cake.  I snap photos in between times of awesomeness to capture the memories.. and to also share with those who couldn't make it.  'Summer fun' in November.  Enjoy!
