Hailing from Philadelphia, Gene McFadden and John Whitehead met at school in their teenage years. They went on to co-write/produce timeless songs such as Bad Luck (Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes), Backstabbers (The O'Jays), Wake Up Everybody (Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes), and I'll Always Love My Mama (The Intruders) to name a few.
