{UPDATE} :: I added personal videos to my previous 'Personal Posts' (Concerts, Events, etc.)

Laughter is so good for the soul.  Not sure exactly what we were laughing at, but there is about four photos of us cracking up @ something.  Good times.
Speaking of good times, I'm happy to say I added videos to quite a few of some older personal posts.  As you've seen in the most recent ones, videos will be added more often now.  I finally get to share the moments through photos AND visuals.  Enjoy.
I copied and pasted the links of the newly added ones below.

{Personal Post} PHOTOS/VIDEO: Block Party at MLK Library #ArtAllNight

Art All Night took over the Nation's Capitol yet once again.  Throughout the weekend, several art events are held across the city.  I went to the Block Party at MLK Library this year.  They had an insane Go-go band line up rolled out: Experience Unlimited (EU), Black Alley, Junkyard, Backyard, DC Vybe, Relentless, and Push Play ft. D. Floyd.  Front Porch hosted by Noochi was, also, on the bill.  Art, Food, Music, Vendors.
Ain't no party like a D.C. party...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: "Black Cowboy: American Muscle" by. Brandon Hill Opening Reception

Washington D.C. based artist, Brandon Hill, held an opening ceremony to debut his new exhibition "Black Cowboy: American Muscle".  It examines the significance of Black Cowboys in the American West, shedding light on the often neglected contribution.  Visitors can expect an immersive exploration through paintings, sculptures, and video.  From the art to the ongoing DJ set to the themed outfits, this ceremony was a prime vibe.  Check it out through my lens:

{Personal Post} PHOTOS/VIDEO: Tyler, the Creator "Chromakopia" World Tour | Washington D.C

Chromakoooooopia.
Over the last 14 years, this is my 6th Tyler concert.  Would be 7, but I was sick during the Flower Boy show and had to sell my tickets.  Seeing him grow to a star of this magnitude has been quite the journey.  I grabbed these the moment they went on sale last year.  The album had already consumed my veins.  It was a must I go.
The date finally came and was the last show of the North America leg of the tour.  Excitement is an understatement.  The show was nothing short of AMAZING.  Literally, perfecto.  Let me add... you can tell my boy's budget has increased.  The theatrics and more.  The price has definitely gone UP.

From merch to the concert itself, I tried to capture the essence of it all through my lens.

Can you feel the light?

Grab my hand...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: 'Culture Meets Luxury' Art Exhibit

And we're back again.  Jerome Hood held his 3rd annual art showcase, "Culture Meets Luxury"... presented by the Hood Collection.  It was housed at the same location as the previous showcase, 'Buy Art Not Drugs', which inexplicably is perfect for the celebration of the art, music, and vibes they bring.  I really enjoyed these pieces and recognized some of the artists.  They spoke volumes to say the least.

{Personal Post} PHOTOS/VIDEO: Clipse "Let God Sort Em Out" Tour | Fairfax, VA

A beautiful summer day.  Not too hot and no humidity.  The hours went by fast leading up to the show.  I've seen Pusha twice live; once at 'The Life is So Exciting' tour with Fabolous and again at the Pepsi Dig In day a couple years back.  This would be my first time seeing Clipse live.
I. couldn't. wait.

All things considered.
Let's be specific...

From the actual concert to the parking lot, a TIME was had.  My voice was gone from rapping along the entire show.  This particular stop on the tour had a special treat as they performed Virginia... in well.. you see where the show was ;). Countless Clipse songs were blasting from cars during the let out (including ours).  We actually ended up staying until it was empty.  Just vibing man.  There is nothing like Hip-Hop.

You know we back right?  Clear the streets out...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS:: Art Basel 2022 Pt. 1 - Sneaker Sip n Paint

Art Basel Miami.  We here!  For many years, I've always wanted to attend Art Basel but for some reason, the plan would always fall through.  This year, I forgot about it until several days prior to... I saw Curren$y advertise his show w/ a live band there.  "Art Basel!?  Oh Shit.  I HAVE to go!".  The rest is history.

I played and missed out on those tickets though (long short story), but was able to grab tickets to super dope events the entire weekend.  First event took place that Friday... @ Yankee Kicks.

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: Banksy x Basquiat + Osgemeos "Endless Story" Art Exhibits

What a lovely afternoon at the museum.  Warped in the art, we ended up staying until the museum closed.  First we stopped by the Basquiat x Banksy exhibit, then ventured to the OSGEMEOS: Endless Story exhibit.  I captured my favorites of both.  Here's the view through my lens.
Off we go...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: "Primordial Spirit: Transcendence of Duality" by. Blake Pierre Opening Reception

As the soul undergoes transformation, it experiences illumination, embodying the path to wholeness.

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana...raised in Prince George's County, Maryland, Artist Blake Pierre debuted "Primordial Spirit: Transcendence of Duality" via open reception.  His new exhibition reflects on the cynical nature of growth and transcendence of spiritual duality, representing the divine light that emerges from this union within, guiding the soul beyond physical limitation toward spiritual fulfillment.  Visitors are invited to take in a deeper understanding of transformation and divine purpose expressed through art.  An intimate gathering with details details details.

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: Yaddiya "HOYA$" Georgetown Pop-Up

Washington D.C's own, Justin "Yaddiya" Johnson, hosted a pop-up shop and record release party for his new album, HOYA$.  The celebration was held at Yaddiya's 1223 Potomac Gallery art space in the busy streets of Georgetown.   Serenaded with sounds from his new album on loop and classic Georgetown basketball games projected on tv screens, the event featured art from "Hoya Paranoia: Black America's Team" with pieces by Jermaine "jET" Carter, Corey Ramon Gibson, and Krown Aim.

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: 'Room Service' Holiday Edition Pop-Up

Can I get an encore?  The 'Room Service' pop-up is back with a twist.  The rooms previously designed in the former Motel 6 were transformed yet again in different ways to celebrate the holiday season.
This installment was just as fire *whispers... I may have enjoyed this one a little more.
Take a look...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS:: Virgil Abloh "Figures of Speech" Exhibit | Brooklyn, NY

Once I received an email earlier this year about the "Figures of Speech" exhibit opening at the Brooklyn Museum this summer, I anticipated for months its arrival.  Fast forward to July.  It's here!

A well done honor of the late great visionary, Virgil Abloh.
"Figures of Speech" is an exhibit traveling through two decades of Virgil's work and creation, including never-before-seen elements from his archive.  Walk with me...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: "A Night Circus" #ArtAllNight

Kid in a candy store.  Carnivals/Arcades/Theme Parks all that good stuff are totally my jazz.  For sure, one of my happy places.  Washington D.C. started holding an annual event called Art All Night.  It's where there are countless of Art installations, exhibits, festivities and so forth in the entire city; at one time for one night.  I went to "A Night Circus".  This event featured carnival games, flame performers, face paint, airbrush tattoos, jugglers, aerialists, magicians, and interactive art activities etc.  DJ Divine had the place bumpin.  Join in on the fun and walk with me through the circus...

{Personal Post} PHOTOS: Toronto, ON (Part 3)

I was working on another Personal Post and remembered that this one was still in the drafts!  These two days were an interesting roller coaster.  All types of things seen (and mostly unseen) took place.  We looked good tho ;)
