After just exclusively releasing the Made In America 2013 festival 2-day passes for Pre-Sale on Monday, Hov surprises us all with the announcement of this year's lineup. I'm sure more will be added as the year progresses (as it did in 2012), but at the moment I am pleased with the line up so far. I can't wait. Tickets go on sale to the public on April 17th.

Afropunk Paris line up was tiight. Afropunk Chicago is this weekend. Today, they announced the line up for NYC.
Can we say.. insane? 'punk goers are surely in for a treat. In previous years, the first few hundreds of tickets were free. Following the sell out of the free tickets, were those that required a donation... $25 etc. if you will; the ticket equaling the donation.

I’m kinda irked that it’s on the same weekend as the Made in America Festival.I would love to see Nas.. and ESP Wu-Tang do their entire 36 Chambers set (…something I’ve been talking about all year).Ahhh.. I know they are going to ROCK.

It's a celebration! For the 30th anniversary of Def Jam, they are releasing a limited edition box set with one collection of old school tracks by co-founder Rick Rubin (Selections from the roots of Def Jam) and the other featuring two volumes of the labels’s hottest tracks (Def Jam’s Greatest Hits). The box set will be available on Vinyl and CD including a Def Jam 30 T-Shirt inside.
In addition to all that jazz above, on Oct 16th, Def Jam will hit the Brooklyn stage at the Barclay Center with a hip hop concert to remember. 'Rooted in Success' offered product demonstrations, panel conversations to fireside chats, several photo ops, and complimentary products from brands at the 'Black Beauty Boutique'. Hundreds of people came out to support. The line was CRAZY, but it was worth it! Here's a glimpse...

After talking about it during a Superbowl commercial last night and the opening of the Jordan store (keep reading you’ll see why), I realized this post was long overdue. The sad part about this is.. I couldn’t wait to create this post to share with everyone my experience, but have been super busy since. I’ve been in a writing mood since 5 this morning sooo…. Here we go.
Sunday, January 12th , 2014 was a great day. Went to 730 service at church… got home changed… and headed to Union Station to go up to Brooklyn to see Jay-Z. It was sunny and it was unseasonably warm. The excitement I had of seeing Hov in his hometown (Brooklyn) was serious. It didn’t hit full throttle until I saw the NY skyline. The jitterbugs kicked in quicklyyyy. I turned up the pod with MCHG blasting prepping for the night. On 28th and 7th, I was let off and walked over to Five Guys. Now let me tell you…I’ve had Five Guys countless times before.. but this was thee BEST burger I’ve ever had from there. I sat in there almost an hour and a half eating and charging my phone. Some of my NY homies pulled up …turnt as hell. No.. they weren’t going to the show.. but they were showin me love while I was in town and bottles were in full rotation. The trip to the Barclays Center was mad crazy for the most random reasons. I hadn’t seen them in so long. Conversations all over the place. I had a cup full of ____ straight and downed it when I got to the center. You talking about ready? Huh man. Lol. But.. let’s get to the talk of this concert.
I got in line and Tahiry was standing next to me I mean like.. coats touching next to me. I’m so inebriated I didn’t even pay attention at first until this dude said something then I looked like ohhh. Her and her homegirl were trying to get in the VIP entrance. I then noticed…I was in the wrong line lol. Regular lines had crazy security.. WAYY more extensive than the Verizon Center here. Stupid packed…I checked out the merchandise stands and all the other little things (as this was my first time at the Barclays Center). The architecture /design was tight. I knew Jay wasn’t coming out soon.. but I still wanted to get my beer and get to my seat. But beforehand…I most definitely wanted to get
Ahhhh where do I begin! Dolcezza has been MIA. These past few weeks {especially days} have been unbelievable. And as a result mentioned in previous posts… I shut down ..That's not something I'm proud of at all, but I'm working on it. No social networks… no blogging… connection from everything pretty much cut. My passion and drive for everything is gone and all I want to do is eat lol.
But no seriously…. In most cases… when this happens.. I just need a break from the outside world. When my world is in ruins… I just want to focus on that [ getting out of it].
I had a wake up call when I tried to open up {something i don't do} to someone that hurts me to say I use to be close with about a few things that were going on and they responded typical foolishness {another reason why I’m so private about everything}. It wasn’t until something else dread happened yesterday and a friend was there for me that put things in perspective. I found that instead of being upset… disappointed..or continued walking around with a broken spirit.. that I decided to eat ice cream and laugh lol. Of course… Coronas and more food ended up joining the party later.. but the point was.. I said I wasn’t going to stay in a slump. I just wasn’t.
At this point... I will admit.. My mental is in shambles and sanity completely gone. This has happened a few times… but it’s hitting full throttle. All I can do is pray..stay in the word.. and try my best to block out the realities of most situations. That’s how I keep pressing.
Nevertheless… I woke up this morning feeling a little different about things (good thing). I’ve neglected my darling Addiction enough. I’m proud of her as she continues to grow (not in numbers… but in ways unexplainable at the moment). I needed to release all of this.. what better way than to put on here J It seems I’ve missed out on several posts {this is clearly not a gossip site..but rather anything that catches my eye} such as My husbandJay-Z’s carnival experience charity event… Kanye’s DW womens line premiere, which I absolutely adored.. Naomi Campbell’s boyfriend purchasing a house for her with the impeccable architecture imitation of the “Eye of Horus” and so forth O_O. I didn’t miss the social networks as much {my pp is Twitter} , but I did miss this. I missed the unknown. I missed me.
Hope you all understand. Let’s get back to business.

Art All Night took over the Nation's Capitol yet once again. Throughout the weekend, several art events are held across the city. I went to the Block Party at MLK Library this year. They had an insane Go-go band line up rolled out: Experience Unlimited (EU), Black Alley, Junkyard, Backyard, DC Vybe, Relentless, and Push Play ft. D. Floyd. Front Porch hosted by Noochi was, also, on the bill. Art, Food, Music, Vendors.
