Do you fold when the goings get tough and no one seems to have your back or do you continue to stand?
Reflect honestly on where YOU measure as a (wo)man. Are you content with your measure?
In 1983, MLK day became a holiday..although its first observance was three years later in 86. In 1994, legislation passed 'Martin Luther King Day of Service'. This day has always been said as a Day On and not a Day Off. This day of service was passed to encourage individuals to use the federal holiday as an opportunity to give back to their communities in honor of Dr. King's vision. Less talking and more action. I urge everyone to please use this day as one of productivity, even if it's just for something quick. A small act can make a huge difference.
