Black History Fact- February 8th


I just wanted to use this picture... (nothing to do with the dates or relation to the listed fact)
On February 8, 1894... Congress repealed the Enforcement Act... an act which made it less difficult for some states to Deprive African-American Voters.

Also... on this day in 1986... Oprah Winfrey became the first African-American woman to host a nationally syndicated talk show. You go girl! :-)

    I reallly like that picture.. and the repealment of the enforment act is a good fact for today I like that one. Hope ur having a good day bug.
