On first listen... this was rushed .. the track is different but cool .. and from what i heard i'm feeling the message.. but it wasn't constructed or recorded the well.. the mix is off the vocals are muddy ... and it takes away from the song greatly... I am disappointed and I hate to say that because shes def still one of the most talented artist we've had ... I feel like she needed the money and she rushed something together I would love to hear this 6 months down the road ... the one thing that Lauryn has always been great at is bringing a gritty message and making it amazingly polished sounding... This just isn't it ... But thats my seven cent...
Sources told me prior to this post that she had to "work".. i.e. put out new music.. to keep out of jail (court orders).. or something of that nature. Either way.. I agree with your thoughts. I'll go into detail at a later date
