Time Warp...1973 :: Living for the City x Stevie Wonder

Circa 1973.

...his patience long, but soon he won't have any.
....I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow...
...this place is cruel, nowhere could be much colder.

 I had just returned home from a grocery run Saturday before last only to discover a grocery store in Buffalo was shot up, specifically targeting and killing our people.  The thought alone was and is all around terrifying.  Here we are, just a little over a week later... feeling the grief of yet another mass shooting; this time targeting kids.
I stay silent on a lot of sh-t, quiet as kept... word to Trademark da Skydiver.  Constantly watching MADNESS unravel in your community and throughout the country, while trying to keep a level head above water in your own personal life is exhausting.  Disconnecting into a drift of musical bliss has always been an outlet.  When folk refer to 'timeless music', this is a prime example.  Almost 50 years later and the relevancy of the lyrics is still there.  Gazing off...

{Watch} New Video:: N95 x Kendrick Lamar

It's been a little while since a video and/or song has gotten an individual post on here, but that's how much I dig this.  Kendrick's latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, has taken over conversations and air waves since dropping yesterday.  Staying afloat of the tidal, he has released a new video for one of the hardest songs IMO from the album.  The video, just like the other below, is nothing short of commanding and captivating.

Just in case you've been super busy or sleeping under a rock, catch his video from last week... "The Heart Pt. 5".  Chills.

Giving Back:: Future Renovates the Weight Room at his former High School

Future's nonprofit organization, FreeWishes Foundation, recently partnered with Foot Locker Atlanta to complete a full renovation of the weight room at Future's former high school, Columbia High.  Last December, Foot Locker Atlanta also teamed up with 2Chainz to complete the renovation at his, North Clayton High.

“Since our foundation is very big on health and wellness it was important for us to help create an environment for students in which they could be comfortable, have pride, and perform their best. Also, research shows that students who are physically active tend to excel academically, have better attendance. They are less likely to struggle with depression and other mental health issues.”- Tia Wilburn (Future's sister and Community Engagement Director of FreeWishes).

Lisa Leslie... Four time Olympic Gold Medalist.  Two time WNBA champion.  Author.  Coach.
With 5 years of real estate under her belt, the Hall of Famer added another accomplishment by launching her own real estate firm...Aston Rose.  Aston Rose is a luxury real estate firm specializing in finding properties for high net worth individuals, including but not limited to athletes and celebrities.  Hailing in the California and Florida market, so far, the firm has closed more than $500 million property transactions combined.
