Lil Kim Stops by the Breakfast Club; clears air about Nicki Minaj & K. Michelle, talks Motherhood and more...

I'm glad I listened to this interview. As a Kim fan who has nearly all of her albums, I felt a type of way of her always coming at Nicki.... in which I expressed on a post 4 years ago. However, I NEVER heard her side of the story until today. My outlook on the entire situation has changed as well as my thoughts on Kim's behavior. What made this more interesting was Kim's manager, Big Fendi (who also use to be Nicki Minaj's manager), got on the mic and spilled allllll the tea. The story of he and Nick and more was broken down.
In a previous interview just the other week, K. Michelle visited the Breakfast Club and had some things to say about Kim. Kim addressed those as well ... "That chick is a bag of pecans" lol.
Aside from all the drama, which takes up majority of the interview, Kim touches on motherhood, her upcoming documentary, and relationship with Maino. Watch/listen below::

I've seen this film before. However, there was NO way I was going to miss Angela Davis speaking here. She is not only one of my most favorite people in the entire world, but my closest know how dear the place for her in my heart is. She is MY Doctor King. You better believe. The day someone sent me the info.. I rsvp'd within the next 10 minutes.

That entire day was hectic, but seemed to not matter any longer once I arrived at the church she was speaking at. The homie Withers was already seated waiting for me. I was excited... overly excited... but never expected the reaction I had. When I saw Angela Davis walk out, not only did I have the hugest smile from ear to ear... but strangely I wanted to cry. My eyes were super watery. I was that damn happy.

The end of summer has officially arrived. While I am excited for Fall....I love Fall... I'm, also, going to miss summer. Not so much for the heat and fashion, but for all the outdoor activities and fun. Contained in those outdoor activities and fun were concerts :-). I took a few photos that I never posted... until now. I have to make two separate posts considering the magnitude of photos. I'm super bummed that I can't share the videos with you all up here (I've tried several times and failed :-/). I really got some awesome footage on my phone. It, also, allowed you to capture the true essence of the show.

Prodigy’s H.N.I.C is one of my favorite Hip Hop albums of all time. With that being said, I was listening to Jet Life’s Organized Crime mixtape and when I heard this beat drop… I turned the entire mixtape off lls. In a good way. I was trying to refrain from having a loud outburst at the plantation. The dopeness of all that was Spitta had B.G’s son rap over it. Cooooleerrrrs. Of course, I turned it back on, but I had to gather myself first.

Amen to that. With that being said, I came across the Dalai Lama's 18 Rules for Living. I don't know how I've missed this before, but I'm glad I came across it. I'll be posting the rules in increments. Here's 1 through 5::

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
3. Follow the three R's: Respect for self, Respect for others, Responsibility for all your actions.
4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

[Watch] 'BANG BANG' Short Film Pt. 1 starring Jay-Z and Beyonce

For those of us who attended a show during the 'On the Run' tour stretch, we saw a few of these clips throughout the show. Turns out, the footage is actually clips from a trilogy of short films directed by Dikayl Rimmasch called 'Bang Bang'. Nowness released the first clip of the series chronicling Hov and Bey's cinematic life 'On the Run'.
The On the Run Tour is set to air on HBO this Saturday, September 20th. Watch the trailer here.

In less than a month, Complex has released the 'trap musical' for Migos 'BANDO'. Read the synopsis below previously posted on 8/20/14 for the trailer. Watch the complete film after the jump::

A trap musical? Anything's possible these days. Migos have decided to branch their talents into the film side by compiling their music into a short film; similar to that of the way of Roc-A-Fella's 'Streets is Watching' where Migos is said to have been inspired by. Directed by Rik Cordero and produced by Quality Control Music, the film will be based on Migos real lives in Atlanta and what they had to go through to make it to the top of the music game. I'm mad intrigued off the trailer alone. Watch below::

Race Talk : Childish Gambino stops by the Breakfast Club

Our job as like young Blacks in this country is to show our worth...

Ahhh... the debate of Black and White. I've seen many negative comments in reference to this interview as far as Childish Gambino goes. I have great pride and involvement with our culture, which is #obvious, and wasn't offended by anything he said. I understood completely what he was saying. I got Charlemagne’s point, also, BUT I felt he wasn’t really getting what Gambino was trying to relay. One of those moments where you have to really listen (or endure certain things for that matter to understand) more instead of talking. It’s not about ‘inferiority’. It’s about reality… and if you think he was saying the reality is ‘who is better than who’.. You missed the message. Two different plateaus. I could type so much more, but I’ll stop here.
They never really got to the topic of his ‘mixtape’, but rather continued the Black v. White convo for a while and then went all over the place. Quite a conversation spark. Listen below::

Celebration :: 'The Little Rascals' 20th Anniversary Reunion Photo Shoot

"That ain't sand, that's kitty litter".

Talk about mad grand. Before I even dwell on the photo alone, can you guys believe it's been 20 years!? Time is surely flying. One of our (me, my brother, and cousin) favorite childhood movies. LA production company, 22 Vision, was able to get the gang back together for an epic photo shoot of them recreating scenes from the movie 20 years later.
