Last night during the 2014 Grammys, MMG decided to drop the visual for the 'Black Grammys' track off the Self Made Vol. 3 compilation album. Directed by DRE films, this visual showcases the appreciation to the fans ...accompanied by sizzled bars of course.
I just want to speak on this. Last night (every year -_-), people were tweeting how 'we' really didn't win anything and were robbed from awards in certain categories (i.e. Best Rap Album etc.) News flash. The Grammys have never been about 'us' nor is it for 'us'. I wish folk would realize that. It's been evident for the longest. This is why we have our own award shows to give us the shine we deserve. It should come as NO surprise there who won certain things or who was even nominated. It's reminder songs like these with stand out artists that send a power subliminal message and in a way a will of empowerment.
Just wanted to get that off my chest. Back to the music though. Watch the video below:

Rookies in the game, Fresh and Veggies, kept their promise and dropped their collaboration mixtape today.  This is far from a drag.  Containing 10 tracks, both trade verses  (reminiscent of a revamped Chris and Neef of how well they compliment each other) over some pretty fly beats from Hit-boy, Lunice, Jahlil beats etc. just to name a few.  The tape, also contains features from OverDoz., Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, and Kirko Bangz.  You can tell these two have something to prove by the effort and content of their bars.. and that is that they are here to stay.  Bump this in your speakers from start to finish.  Give it a spin below:

I slacked on listening to this immediately and will admit .. I kinda had pre thoughts about what it would actually be.  Even after hearing dope ass Panera Bread.. I still had pre-thoughts of the final product.  However, I was wrong.  It’s not a mediocre ep.. It’s pretty fucking rad.  Not only production wise, but Rockie delivers lyrically (in a chill way of course).  The first song alone is straight bananas.  Enough to keep you captivated for the entire play.  Take a listen below:
