Over the last 14 years, this is my 6th Tyler concert.  Would be 7, but I was sick during the Flower Boy show and had to sell my tickets.  Seeing him grow to a star of this magnitude has been quite the journey.  I grabbed these the moment they went on sale last year.  The album had already consumed my veins.  It was a must I go.  

The date finally came and was the last show of the North America leg of the tour.  Excitement is an understatement.  The show was nothing short of AMAZING.  Literally, perfecto.  Let me add... you can tell my boy's budget has increased.  The theatrics and more.  The price has definitely gone UP. 

From merch to the concert itself, I tried to capture the essence of it all through my lens.

HEAT: Tyler, the Creator's GOLF WANG x NFL Collab Has Arrived

The GOLF WANG x NFL Merch Collab has arrived and my... is it FIRE!  The collection highlights 7 NFL Teams to include the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, and San Francisco 49ers.  It extends through several pieces.  Hot Dog Holders, Keychains, Coasters, Necklaces, Crossbody Bags, Socks, Polos, T-Shirts, Varsity Jackets, Bomber Jackets, Hoodies, Sweaters, and Hats.  Thee absolute works.

Tyler has been my close friend and collaborator for years and we’ve always connected on music and design.  There are so many elements specific to Tyler built into these pieces and it’s been inspiring to see him hone in on his craft and collaborate with him for this Spring collection.

Sprinkle some GOLF le FLEUR into Pharrell's Louis Vuitton creative state and out comes a compound of vibrant and identifiably stylish pieces.  From aviator jackets to pleated trousers, cable-knit jumpers to monogram headwear, and many many more, Tyler's first menswear collab with Louis Vuitton makes a commanding statement.

While a lookbook preview did hit the waves, Tyler released a cinematic approach for the visual.  The le FLEUR* : season 2 commercial begins with an accident happening, unseen, and proceeds to have various people give their version of what occurred to the officer.  Each person, including Lil Yachty, is wearing items from the upcoming release.  Hats, Jackets, Sunglasses, Totes, Scarves, Tops, Shoes etc.  A live game of iSpy.  And you know what?  This was pretty fxcking dope.  Catch the full commercial after the jump!

Tyler, the Creator Opens a GOLF WANG Store in London, UK

The brand released it's new fall/winter 2023 collection this past Saturday and... opened a new store in London Soho!  This comes as the third store front; the other two located in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA.  I remember the early years of this.  Wow.  Super proud of Tyler.

Distinct and bold, the aesthetics alone are sure to draw people in.  They will be greeted by the GOLF WANG fashion/accessories collection(s) and an interactive phone booth housed in the middle of the store, where patrons can take fun photos with GOLF backgrounds.  They are really cool---you can see them HERE.

{Watch}:: A Star-Studded Event. LOUIS VUITTON Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 Fashion Show by Pharrell Williams

Last night, the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring-Summer 2024 Fashion Show took place in Paris, France.  What an event it was. Since the announcement in February of Pharrell Williams taking the Men's Creative Director role, it's been up from there.  Personal invitations were sent to A-list Celebrities and Fashion lovers across the globe, who showed up and showed out.  Don't mistake that for being the highlight of the event.   The allure of the entire show held a level of fascinating command on its own.  

    A variety of very well styled pieces and models walked the runway at the Maison with unwavering attention.  Pharrell presented a soundtrack of new songs that debuted on this very special evening, including a Clipse reunion (where Pusha T takes noticeable shots at rapper Jim Jones).  Pharrell's version of Unspeakable Joy with the Choir and production was absolutely phenomenal.  Bravo.  Catch more photos and the video of the entire fashion show after the jump!   

He's Back: Tyler, the Creator drops New Single "DOGTOOTH" + Album Release Date

***UPDATE 03/29 "SORRY, NOT SORRY" added

Every 2 years, Tyler drops.  I know it's every 2... I acknowledge it's every 2... I expect it to be every 2 and I STILL react with exhilaration when the drop is announced.  Early this AM, Tyler surprised his fans with a fire new single and video, DOGTOOTH.  (Video gives me 'Bimmer' vibes)

He switches up a line towards the end and says "If you don't know my daughter name ".  My antennas went up and so did many others.  Tyler cleared that up immediately on Twitter saying 

He, also, explains via tweet "CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST WAS THE FIRST ALBUM I MADE WITH ALOT OF SONGS THAT DIDNT MAKE THE FINAL CUT. SOME OF THOSE SONGS I REALLY LOVE, AND KNEW THEY WOULD NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY, SO IVE DECIDED TO PUT A FEW OF THEM OUT." 

This started discourse on the validity of that because he references Virgil Abloh as an angel - "Virgil my chaperone, he look out from overhead" -  howeverrrr,

Spotify's popular rap playlist is now being adapted to film.  HULU has rolled out a first look at their new series, “RapCaviar Presents”.  Comprised of 7 parts, the docu-series features Tyler, the Creator, Pharrell, Coi Leray, Jack Harlow, City Girls, Polo G, Roddy Ricch, and more.

{Personal Post} PHOTOS:: "The Flowers" x Tyler, the Creator "Call Me If You Get Lost" Tour DC Show

March kicked off with a bang.  I have titled the first excursion as 'The Flowers' because it was literally flowers EVERYwhere in the restaurant.  No exaggeration.  You'll see.  Tyler's concert was a couple days later.  Nothing short of AMAZING per usual.  It was, also, a moment in time of reflection.  I'll explain.

Remarkable.  The 𝓛𝓸𝓾𝓲𝓼 Dreamhouse™️ was assembled with consolidated themes and messages of the eight-season arc Virgil Abloh (rip) created for Louis Vuitton.  The Carreau du Temple in Paris was transformed into an absolute captivating dream... sound wise and visually.  Creativity has no limits. There is a part of the show around the 20:56- 21:05 minute mark that is so pure and heart warming.  FEELS.  A final show for Virgil, musically composed entirely by Tyler the Creator.

My fandom for Tyler stretches way back to 2011.  I was introduced to Odd Future,  then"Goblin", then "Bastard" and my whole life changed.  The overwhelming excitement that bolts through my veins when he is dropping a new album has been unmatched. Each. Time.  

A week ago, I said "it's about that time.  where the album Tyler?  He always drops around (*continues to yap)".  Now here we are!

Today, he gave us FLAMES with the new single "Lumberjack".

Tyler, the Creator's trailer for "Cherry Bomb : The Documentary"

On January 30th, Tyler released the highly anticipated 'Cherry Bomb: The Documentary' for his 2015 album (that made my top post).  Directed, Shot, Produced, and Cut by Mikey Alfred and Illegal Civ Cinema, this doc goes behind the scenes with the making of the album.  Catch cameos from Kanye, Kali Uchis, Pharrell, Lil Wayne, ASAP Rocky etc. during this 45 minute long summarized journey.  

To keep it's exclusivity, there were only 400 made.  This $100 a pop bundle included the DVD, a Cherry Bomb Movie Poster signed by Tyler himself, and 1 Illegal Civ x GOLF shirt.  There were only 400  Now to the bad news....

During the uniquely executed premier of the 1st Golf Wang Fashion Show, Tyler performed a brand new unreleased song entitled 'My Ego'- a record that addresses 'media' issues, success, swagger jacking, and the still prolonged tension between he and his former friends in Odd Future.  *Sigh.  It stings sometimes to hear them throw jabs at one another, but sometimes it's the inevitable...
Anywho... I missed these keys.  Tyler, another album please.

Go (Gas) | Domo Genesis x Wiz Khalifa x Tyler, the Creator x Juicy J

With a verbal hype by Rocky and amp from Jasper.. Taco and 'nem, Tyler presents us a full 'video' and audio of his revamp of Kanye's 'Freestyle 4'.  His is properly titled 'WHAT THE FUCK RIGHT NOW'.  He's addressed these things before in previous songs, but each time.. he brings a new direction.. a new presentation.. new lyrics.. and goes TF HARD with the delivery.  This one tops thus far.  I won't even type the lyrics.  Just watch/listen::

Under his direction ego- Wolf Haley, Tyler releases a visual for 'Perfect'... the song that appears at the end of 'Fxckin Young' on his current album, Cherry Bomb.  As a treat, this version is extended with new additions of lyrics, rhythm changes etc. that aren't found on the album.

Tyler proves over and over that the musical talents are endless.  The float over 'Fuck It', his own production, adds to that.  While he has never been one to shy from sharing how he feels, this one is a little different.  A loosie he released today that he 'recorded two weeks ago' is HARD.. and addresses the critics, his 'old friends', amongst other things.  I only wish it was longer.  Press play ::

Chilling :: Watch Tyler, the Creator's new video "Buffalo/Find Your Wings"

The video still above alone is compelling enough to produce a chill.  Tyler drops a new dual visual from his 'Cherry Bomb' album.  The video begins with 'Buffalo' in a new mixed sound were Tyler is in white face.. being hung by an angry mob of black people.  Later, he wipes his face off to reveal a black face which causes a different reaction.  No matter your interpretation of it all, it's sure to hold your attention the entire duration.. with a racing mind of trying to figure it out.

When the video switches into 'Find your Wings' .. it switches into a completely different feel (like that of the song) and channels a episode of 'Soul Train', if you will.  His creative genes keep expanding.  Watch below ::
