Icon Pharrell Williams further expands his Black Ambition non-profit organization with a new virtual program geared towards Florida-based entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities.  The launch of the 'Fundable Founders Learning Lab' supports the initiative with an extensive 10-week virtual program offering mentorship, expert training, solid networking, and access to capital over the next two years.

Le Cinéma Club presents the exclusive online premiere of Gabriel Moses and Pharrell Williams 'ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT SPORT' film.  Running a little over 20 minutes, the film serves as a visual love letter of culture in Senegal.  The cinematography throughout is striking; fluidly following a story of life and emotions in Senegal's capital city, Dakar.  The film unexpectedly includes a new song from Pusha T- "Mike Tyson Blow to the Face".  Underlying puns peek.

I recently saw Pharrell's 'Piece by Piece' biopic and it was fan-tas-tic.  There was no doubt that he and Gabriel Moses creative minds worked favorably in their synergy.

As he is notably complimented on his amazing and youthful looking skin, it was only right that evian snagged the 51-year-old icon for the “Fountain of Youth".  Sharing parallel ethos, Pharrell Williams credits the key element of maintaining this with hydration.

The idea that Pharrell's story should be expressed through a Lego movie fits perfect with his unique and standout personality.  I, myself, thought it was just chatter until the actual trailer released.  It's a real thing.  Focus Pictures presents "Piece by Piece"- the lego cinematic experience of Pharrell's life story featuring voice overs from Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and more.  "Just be open".  Take a look at the trailer after the jump!

Tiffany & Co. unveils their first collection with Icon and Multi Mogul Pharrell Williams.  Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams feature designs inspired by the Greek Mythology God, Poseidon— ruler of the water and King of Atlantis, which also happens to be the name of the community Pharrell grew up in in Virginia Beach, VA.  In addition, Pharrell sustains that the details of the pieces are very intentional.  Including the use of black titanium, which he attributes as "a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness."

Last week, Pharrell Williams held his first Louis Vuitton show since taking the Creative Director position earlier this year.  On the heels of that, the Men's Spring/Summer 2024 campaign is now officially launched... starring Rihanna!  The campaign video highlights the seasons' looks while Rih smoothly maneuvers through the bustling energy of Canal St. in NYC.  Take a look below:

{Watch}:: A Star-Studded Event. LOUIS VUITTON Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 Fashion Show by Pharrell Williams

Last night, the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring-Summer 2024 Fashion Show took place in Paris, France.  What an event it was. Since the announcement in February of Pharrell Williams taking the Men's Creative Director role, it's been up from there.  Personal invitations were sent to A-list Celebrities and Fashion lovers across the globe, who showed up and showed out.  Don't mistake that for being the highlight of the event.   The allure of the entire show held a level of fascinating command on its own.  

    A variety of very well styled pieces and models walked the runway at the Maison with unwavering attention.  Pharrell presented a soundtrack of new songs that debuted on this very special evening, including a Clipse reunion (where Pusha T takes noticeable shots at rapper Jim Jones).  Pharrell's version of Unspeakable Joy with the Choir and production was absolutely phenomenal.  Bravo.  Catch more photos and the video of the entire fashion show after the jump!

{Book Alert} No More Rulers - "Pharrell-isms"

Music is the key, the skeleton key that’s opened every door for me.

Princeton University Press, in association with No More Rulers, is releasing a new book full of quotes from the icon Pharrell Williams called "Pharrell-isms".  This is the 12th addition to their 'isms' literature that already feature books for Virgil Abloh, Basquiat, and Andy Warhol to name a few.  Edited by Larry Warsh, "Pharrell-isms" is comprised of Pharrell's inspirational quotes about creativity, social justice, and life.  

Pharrell Williams is the New Men's Creative Director for Louis Vuitton

Clear the streets out. 

I first got wind of this appointment from Pusha T's tweet yesterday morning.  It hadn't been formally announced yet (at least to the rest of the world), but he wanted to publicly congratulate his long time friend.  Within the next couple of hours, the official news spread like wildfire.  Pharrell Williams- Producer, Songwriter, Singer, Rapper, Designer - is now the Men's Creative Director for Louis Vuitton. 

The position was previously held by world renowned designer and visionary, Virgil Abloh, who sadly passed away in November 2021.  When Abloh was appointed, he became the first Black Director at Louis Vuitton.  A predecessor whose bar was set HIGH for anyone to assume this position after.

Spotify's popular rap playlist is now being adapted to film.  HULU has rolled out a first look at their new series, “RapCaviar Presents”.  Comprised of 7 parts, the docu-series features Tyler, the Creator, Pharrell, Coi Leray, Jack Harlow, City Girls, Polo G, Roddy Ricch, and more.

Pharrell & Grutman's South Beach hotel, The Goodtime, now Open

Come get it babe...

Pharrell and David Grutman teamed up a while ago for the creation of this hotel.  Now it's finally open. Located on South Beach and Washington, 601 Washington Ave to be exact, you will find 'The Goodtime'; available for bookings of rooms starting at $260/night.  The hotel's 'Strawberry Moon' is a full service restaurant with a bar and indoor/outdoor pool, however still reflects coming soon status.  

The official website gives me Fyre Fest vibes.  Aesthetically that is.  It doesn't show much of what to expect.  I suppose you will just have to experience it in person OR more photos will be added as the year progresses.   View more photos from the site and Ocean Mag Drive below:
