I've seen Spitta a few times over the last 15+ years, but this was the first time I got to experience him with a live band.
F I R E.
DC Artist, Noochie, was an opening act.  I've never heard his records before, but each one he performed was jammin.  He even did an a cappella freestyle about the city that was whew... chilling.  Cooley, another city artist, performed a track.  Also, jammed.  If you aren't familiar, they are definitely worth checking out.
I could really go on for a while dissecting how much this performance made me happy.  It's truly nothing like live music.  With this in particular, it just amped what was already some fly shit.  Spitta brought out Black Cobain, Premo Rice (i was hype), and Fiend!  I've seen Fiend live during the No Limit Reunion Tour in 2020.  It's gotta be a N.O. (New Orleans) thing because the energy is ALWAYS there with them.

Over 405,000 to be exact ;-).  Keeping my blog alive for this long, even with the "blog era" ending,  is something very special to me.  Over a decade, you have watched me grow in content, age, preference, and so forth.  While I do not post nearly as much as I once did, I am still humbled and jubilant for milestones like these.  My posts are still touching people and that's important.  THANK YOU to all the visitors and faithful supporters.  You are appreciated and keep me going!  The photo above was snapped on NYE, 5 mins before the clock turned 12.  It exudes my mood going into 2023 and my feeling right now.

Last Week, HipHopDX presented Wiz Khalifa's official documentary, 'Still Rolling Papers'; executive produced by Wiz himself.  From being a hometown hero to a worldwide mega star, this 30-minute chronicle is a mixture with past and present footage of Wiz' journey through the rap game.  Watch the documentary in full after the jump!

Editors note:  I am so glad I was able to experience the Kush and OJ tour in 2010 at Baltimore Rams Head  and the Rolling Papers tour in 2011 at Merriweather.   WHAT. A. FXCKING. TIME.  You just don't get music like that anymore.  Before fully converting over to commercial, that Wiz was golden.  Very proud of his success though.  I am, also, glad that Curren$y was mentioned and included in this documentary because he played a PIVOTAL role in Wiz career beginnings...in addition to the elite music they made together.  I love how they are still brothers.

 RIP Mac.

Legendary music vid/film director, Hype Williams brings us a present day version of Slim Aarons photos, in the latest MONOGRAM campaign.  Aarons' most notable photos were reshot and recast at Frank Sinatra's house in Palm Springs.  Wardrobe styled by High Snobiety Fashion Director, Corey T. Stokes, assisted with bringing these photos to life, mimicing Aaron's originals... but with a contemporary twist.
