When I heard DJ Envy's premier of '100' this morning on the Breakfast Club, I immediately picked up my phone and sent the text 'Yo... the Game sampled Peabo joant all crazy'.  I wrote more but that's the condensed version.  Wait... now that I think about it, it could've been Stephanie Mills version sampled.  Hmm.  Either way, same song.
Nevertheless, for this collaboration, The Game and Drake flow over the smooth Feel the Fire loop that is set to appear on the Game's upcoming project, The Documentary 2.  The two were caught filming the video for this recently.  I'm sure that'll drop soon.  Listen to the track below::
Update:  A little over a month later, the video has arrived.  Set in Compton.  Directed by Theo Skudra.

Originally released as 'Ambitionz of a Rida', the single is shortened to 'Ryda' now that the visual is here. The west coast vibed track is accompanied by a Bonnie and Clyde themed heist concept video. This is said to appear on the Game's upcoming, The Documentary 2.

Finally some positive tea on social media after a few days a nonstop fxckery.  Jim Jones posted the above photo with the Game on Instagram, captioned::

Could this be?  I hope so.  #CertifiedGangsters remade over 10 years later would be tiiight.  If only Jones still had his hair; the Shirley Temples were SICK.  Whether the caption was alluding to something actually in the works or just frivolous wrappage to ruffle our feathers, we still have this classic jammer below to bang...

Time Warp hasn't been posted since June 3rd. That's crazy. It doesn't even feel that long.

I've been extremely quiet on this (Ferguson/Mike Brown) situation (as with similar) via social media and personal conversations for a reason that most of today's generation couldn't grasp. However, I think it's awesome that a track of this magnitude could be created for a cause. The Game enlists a variety of all-star artists for his Mike Brown tribute. Hip hop needed this. Roberta Cleopatra Flack, singer x songwriter x musician, was born February 10, 1937 in Black Mountain, North Carolina and raised in Arlington, VA. At the tender age of 9, Roberta began taking interest in playing the piano. She played the piano so well that she enrolled in Howard University at the age of 15, where they awarded her a full music scholarship. She graduated at age 19. Flack began to teach in Washington D.C. at Browne Junior High and Rabaut Junior High, in addition to teaching private piano lessons out of her home in NW. Aside from teaching, Flack served as a pianist for Opera singers at the Tivoli Club. During intermissions, she would sing Blues, Folk, and Pop music in a back room. Soon she served as her own pianist when she began to perform at the 1520 club.
Roberta Flack has created several duets with notable male singer counterparts Donny Hathaway and Peabo Bryson. She sang on the theme song of TV show ‘Valerie’ (aka The Hogan Family) as well as earning Gold singles and platinum albums from 1972 – present.
Her most notable recent works’ date back to February 2012 where she released ‘Let it Be Roberta’, an album of Beatles covers {she knew John Lennon personally as they both lived in the same apartment building in NYC in 1975 right across the hall from each other). Recognizably, she is a spokesperson for American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the name of Hyde Leadership Chart School in the Bronx’s after- school program “The Roberta Flack School of Music”; Roberta also founded the school. The program serves as free music education to underpriviledged students.
Roberta Flack shares a common ground with music group U2 in record breaking as the only artists to win the Grammy ‘Record of the Year’ award in consecutive years. “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”, a duet with Donny Hathaway, won Grammy ‘Record of the Year’ in 1973. In 1974, she won the same award this time with her solo song ‘Killing Me Softly (with his song)’.

Oddly, even with The Game just signing to Cash Money Records, label mate/front runner Lil Wayne did not make an appearance in the video for his verse. Scheduling conflict, maybe? Anywho... The Game gives us an early 90s visual feel (which blends perfect with the 90 sample) for his new ladies geared single. Jesus Piece is in stores now...

Being that “Ali Bomaye” is my favorite track on the Game’s Jesus Piece and I was blasting it on the pod all morning, I decided to share the original sample with you all.  Both are powerful in its sense of format.  The sample, however, requires a deeper thought.  Ironically… they correlate in one way (other than the obvious sample).  Check it out:

This was definitely a celebration as all FIVE members of Bone Thugs- N-Harmony reunited in this visual, where the game samples one of their biggest hits “First of the Month”.  Very simplistic, but cypher like.  It all works out.  You’re focused on the fact that Bone is back together the entire time anyway.  Ahh..I miss the 90s.  Check it out:
