10/11! My birthday was spent in the streets of Tokyo this year, literally. Started the day early with the Gym and then headed to the Tsukiji Outer market for some eats. After that, a little shopping in Chou City and more eats. That night, we went to an amazing art installation that pictures do no justice for. I finally got that chicken I mentioned in the previous Tokyo post. I'll get to that. Ukiyo!
Off we go...
Train ticket for the day.
s.o. to Nicholas Craven. word to Boldy.
You ordered at the vending machine and received a card with a 'picture' of your order, which as you can see was only a choice of 3 things. I ordered the prawn cracker.
They place the prawn and batter on a flat bed pan, close, and mahō.
Another place next to it had Waygu skewers. De licious.
Mochi on a stick. Wasn't too bad. Interesting texture inside though. Didn't matter. Just like the rest of the food, I didn't leave a crumb.
It was supposed to be chicken? Debatable.
Beer vending machines, for my convenience.
Bookstore run.
My mom and brother knew how much this meant to me that I found this. I still have the original.
Hannnnnn.
Gin and tonic.
Pho, I missed you.
Stay hydrated.
With the art installation, no shoes were allowed. They wanted you to feel every texture of everything. Some floors were uphill in water, a giant pillow, combination textures, more water (this time knee high), and so forth. Def my jam. So much fun in here...
The 'sparkle' room was something I have never seen before. It was absolutely stunning. We spent more time here than expected. It was a sight to see in person.
Zoom in so you can see how much gas was over there. Man oh man.
Found a spot on the water. Chicken was fried to perfection.
Tequila #2 (or 3)
So peaceful.
Xoxo.
