{Personal Post} PHOTOS: "Air PinderStory" Jordan Pop-Up Experience by. Demont Pinder

Artist Demont Pinder curated and held a Jordan Pop-Up experience titled "Air PinderStory"; inspired by and celebrating the release of the premiere of "Air" the movie.  The 2023 "Air" Movie follows the story of Sonny Vaccaro and NIKE as they pursue then rookie, Michael Jordan, creating a partnership that revolutionizes the sneaker culture forever.

I had a chance to, personally, talk with Demont and get the back story behind some of his pieces.   He was very kind, warm, and approachable.  A pleasure.  Let's take a walk through his event...

"waittttt... you got on the 3's too!?"  My brother pulled up and that was the first thing I noticed.
I promise that wasn't planned.

Security kicks.  Well played.

There is an additional piece to this piece.  I'll share the full story there.

The Bordeaux 7s are top 5 for me.

Chris Tucker plays NIKE Exec, Howard White, in the movie "Air"

Brodie and the Artist, himself.

Shouts to Eric B. and Rakim's 1987 'Paid in Full' album cover.
We talked about this great one.  True Jordan details here throughout the entire piece.  Zoom in man.
See for yourself.  WHEW.

Demont explained that this is the bottom (of the beginning).  He plans to add Jordan's legs/shorts through the canvas above.  An additional canvas will be added on top of that.  "Air" Jordan

The Belair 5s (Top); ode to Fresh Prince.
Thee Will Smith posted Demont's work on his IG.  Something you have to see for yourself <below>

Again.  ZOOM IN.  Wow.

Circling back to the shoes (from top to bottom)
- Belair 5s
- Shattered Backboard 1s
- Concord Bred 11s.  These were once a fresh pair.  However, he was asked to do the mural in NY for DMX after he passed.  Now they're priceless.
- Black Toe 1s.  worn while working on a mural in Baltimore
-I believe the bottom ones were plain low all black 1s and some paint got on them.  Don't quote me though.

A reminder.  No copyright here.  Just love.

What up Phil

The OGs.  I've had this pair since 2003.  Twenty years.  They still look pretty decent if you ask me lol.

One time for the hometeam.

I was in love with her coat.

Demont Pinder is truly an amazing artist.  It's easy to go down a rabbit hole of his work.
