Vogue: What is the Smith woman up to during the day?
Smith: Well, she’s got shit to do.   She’s in charge, she’s going to work, she’s going to take you to court.   Where she’s going is up to her, but what Smith wants to make sure of is that “she looks damn good” doing it.

Bra-fxcking-vo, okay?
LaQuan Smith showcased his Fall 2024 NYFW collection in the heart of New York City's financial district.  The fashion show would enter a distinctive realm of 'Wall Street'.  Chic pinstripes, pencil skirts, plunging necklines, furs and so forth donned the runway leaving an impression on anyone with the pleasure of viewing.  The show began with ringing of the New York Stock Exchange Bell followed by a clip from Ronnie's infamous scene in The Players Club movie ... "All Eyes on Me...
start the music".  It was at this moment, I knew I was in for a ride.  Now it's gets personal.

The music!  On nothing but a perfect cue, the O'Jays 'For the Love of Money' dropped after Ronnie's cue the music line.  That song there has been my alarm ringtone on workdays for yearsssss.  It's powerful in many ways and keeps up with the financial theme.  What a way to start a show!

Now...4 Da Fam by Amil came on after and I had to pause the show to contain reactions.  I would've been going insane inside, outwardly keeping cool, had I been there.  It cannot be taught and cannot be explained.  You just have to know how and why that was bananas.  LaQuan!!  I love a good theme.  Big Spender continued the financial musical vibrations which highlighted the captivating pieces one by one quintessentially.

Legit... the show and song selection was perfect. During Black History Month, too?  Solid.  Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, LaQuan Smith brings out THEE Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds for a live performance of The Deele's 'Two Occasions' and his own cut, 'Whip Appeal'.
