{Personal Post} PHOTOS/VIDEO: Thundercat "In Yo Girl's City" Tour | Washington, D.C.

Everyday is like a dream to me.

Thundercat reached the D.C stop on his "In Yo Girl's City" tour and guess what?  It was on his birthday.  From one Libra to another, Love.  The weather was crisp and the show was amazing.  To my surprise and excitement, he performed 'King of the Hill'.  To hear him sing that in person was heaven.  I remember him sounding good at previous shows, but maybe because it's been so long?  His voice was out of this world at this one.  Not a tone or pitch missed.  The band, also, showed up and showed tf out.  

This was confirmation for me that he realllllly should do a Live album.

Music joys fulfilled.  Thundercat announces his new 23-track album, DRUNK, set for release on February 24th.  'Them Changes' is making a reappearance from the 2015 project, THE BEYOND/WHERE THE GIANTS ROAM, on this album along with this soothing beauty 'Show You the Way'.  Steely Dan's, Michael McDonald... and Kenny Loggins?  You already know this is fire.  Listen below and catch that Sonic drop at the end::

Although, this has dropped a year from the initial release of Thundercat's album 'The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam', the effects of the project and its contents are still the same.  In conjunction with Adult Swim and Australian artist Ry No, here's the video for 'Song For the Dead'.

The beauty of finding a song that conveys to a tee something inner that you don't express publicly.  'Them Changes' is a literal soulful groove.  The lyrics can touch your soul all while vibing out to the groove at the same time.  Did I mention the fantastic harmony?  Co-produced by Flying Lotus and Kamasi Washington, here's the first single from cat's incredible 'The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam' album  that released today.

 Side-Commentary::  You peep those 'Footsteps in the Dark' drums?? NICE.  

  Thundercat brings forth the video- Samurai style.  While 'Samurai' most likely isn't the first thing that pops into your mind when hearing the song, the usage of it in the visual doesn't change the essence.  As a matter of fact, it adds more intensity with a unique way of conveying a different aspect of the central emotion at hand.
