Can you believe this draft has been sitting since 2022?  I was vibing the other week and had a light bulb reminder.  I never published it!  What better time than now?  Half of the U.S. is snowed in today.   

Live versions are unique.  Typically filled with vivaciousness and exclusivity to that specific performance in all aspects.   It takes a special kind of everything to put a live song in the category of being considered better than the original/studio version.  That special thing where you prefer to hear the live version instead.  The common denominator is simply this.  It contains soul that the original just does not acquire.

New music from Tay Walker.  Long overdue.  Fans like myself have been waiting... but enjoying the journey of his growth on the way.  The anticipation for the album, which drops April 30th, is heightened.

So here was the scene. It was cool and very cloudy. Mind racing. Finishing a home project I started. 25HAD was the backdrop to it. On repeat. For two hours.
This was absolutely worth every minute of the wait for the release. I've said many times- Tay's voice is incredible so that will always be a given. On 25HAD, he covers all aspects- singing, rapping, and poetry. I have deemed this the audible version of the movie 'Love Jones'. The lyrics and overall feeling the album provides in whole is just that. Simply put, this album is great.

The sultry sounds of his voice intertwined with the bedroom material production heightens the intimate lyrics to a 'just right' degree. Tay even shows off and adds his rap skills to this one (as he does every now and then). Yes.25 Hours a Day is coming...

Better Liar | Harry Fraud x The Internet

 SHIT.  Harry Fraud and The Internet teamed up for a spectacular live instrument production of a record about lies and deceit.  If it sounds this amazing live.. one can only imagine how it sounds in person.   I hope they perform this when I go see them later this month.  This track lands on the Converse compilation "Cons EP Vol. 1".  Vibe out::

The video and this song is a mood changer; “brown liquor song” for sure. You may have recognized Tay Walker’s name from his songs with ‘The Internet’ (he is a vocalist and the keyboardist in the group). I couldn’t deny his voice then.. and I damn sure can’t deny it on this solo track…Major talent. The soul. The rips. The emotion.
This will fall on his upcoming solo project ’25 Hours a Day’, set for release sometime during the Spring, featuring collabs with Casey Veggies, Mac Miller, Syd tha Kyd, Harry Fraud and more. I’m definitely looking forward to it. In the meantime…check out his latest solo effort below:
