Supreme x Wu-Tang Clan Collection Set to Drop Tomorrow

Supreme has released the photo book for their Fall 2025 Wu-Tang Clan collaboration.  Each collection piece contains detail that embodies the world-renowned group's style and culture.  Gore-tex jackets/pants and jerseys aren't the only items featured.  Several different colorways are offered through t-shirts, hoodies, and beanie hats along with a variety of accessories that range from coffee mugs to skateboards.   30 years later and they're STILL making waves.

Wu-Tang's RZA x Raekwon Announce Upcoming "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" w/ Live Symphony Show

It's been nearly 20 years since Raekwon released the classic and timeless, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Now, he and RZA have announced that fans will be able to enjoy the album through a different live experience. Next week at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver, CO, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will back Raekwon and RZA for this unforgettable show.

Last year, I was able to witness greatness at the Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) 30th Anniversary show, which was also backed by a live orchestra.

Back in September, I blogged about this event and stated I was not missing this show. I actually bought my ticket before I published the post lol. It was imperative. So here we are, 11.09.2023, exactly 30 years from the Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) album release on 11.09.1993.

This show was beautifully crafted and curated so perfectly. A brilliant mind is all I can say. What a night! The excitement returned making this post. Sharing photos and videos through my lens.

RZA Announces Upcoming "The 36 Chambers" w/ Live Orchestra Show

The Abbot is at it again. In celebration of the 30th anniversary for the legendary archived in 'Library of Congress album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), RZA announced a special 3-day event for the milestone. On November 7th, 8th, and 9th, fans will be able to experience the 36 Chambers through a live orchestra experience in NYC.

Pretty Toney is dropping a new solo album very soon. One catch. It's exclusively on STEM Player, offering two options for fans to choose from (seen below). Both contain all videos, meet ups, and concerts info. However, there is a very significant difference.

I initially posted the announcement of this here in March 2021. You were able to sign up for notifications on updates for the book, which I did. I checked and checked (even a couple months ago) thinking I missed the email somehow. Nothing. To my surprise, while casually checking my email a couple days ago, there it was. The notification that the book is here! It launched yesterday @ 3PM EST. However, due to technical difficulties from the overwhelming response, the pre-orders were paused and will resume on #WuWednesday- Dec, 21, 2022; again @ 3PM EST.

These tickets were purchased in April.  The day finally arrived: 09/16/2022.  The NY State of Mind Tour made its way to Bristow, VA @ Jiffy Lube Live.  Hype is an understatement.  Stoked is appropriate.  So yea, let's get into it...

A Tribe Called Quest and Wu-Tang Clan Albums to be Archived in the Library of Congress

Each year, the Library of Congress selects a small quantity of recordings to archive in the National Recording Registry. A few classic hip hop albums reside there so far such as Jay-Z's "The Blueprint", N.W.A's "Straight Outta Compton", De La Soul's "3 Feet High and Rising", Nas' "Illmatic", Dr. Dre's "The Chronic", Run DMC's "Raising Hell", and Lauryn Hill's "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill".

Today, it was announced that ATCQ "The Low End Theory" (1991) and Wu-Tang's "Enter the Wu-Tang 36 Chambers" (1993) would be joining the archive. The National Recording Registry deemed both “worthy of preservation because of their cultural, historical and aesthetic importance".

....Just keep feeding you... and feeding you x Come on everybody let's get with the fly modes is now officially stamped as a part of history. Congrats to them both.

We've learned a bit from the Wu-Tang saga hulu series, but now we are presented with Raekwon's own origin story. The legendary Chef is always cooking up fire and this time... it's a memoir. I read an excerpt of this via RollingStone of how Leonardo DiCaprio backed his idea for a Wu biopic, similar to that of N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton film. However, RZA shot it down.

Wu-Tang Clan set to release 400-pound Photo Album

This is a gathering of the masses that come to pay respects to the Wu-Tang Clan...

The book isn't that heavy, but it's enclosed in a 400 pound steel and bronze chamber designed by sculptor Gethin Jones. Only 36 copies will be released worldwide. 36 Chambers. You get it.

You are said to find rare and never before seen photos of the Wu in this 300 page book. The cost hasn't been released yet.

{Personal Post} Photos/Videos :: The Bucketfeet x No Kings Collective Sneaker Launch + Dreams of Triumph event

I must admit, my personal posts have gone M.I.A. due to Snapchat. *sigh. It's easier and less time consuming plus it's posted right then and there. I'm working on getting these back up and running though. I have a lot of photos/videos to share (plus it would make great space on my phone).. so here's a start.

Back in December of last year, the collab event with Bucketfeet and #NoKingsDC was held at Atlantic Plumbing rooftop. The architecture of that building is so unique. I headed out on that brisk night to hopefully cop a pair and enjoy myself. Take a glimpse into the event...

Azealia Banks to star in RZA directed film, "Coco".

Controversial vibrant rapper, Azealia Banks, who just premiered her first album "Broke With Expensive Taste" last year, is now dipping her hands into film. Awesomely, Banks has snagged a lead role in a feature Lionsgate and Codeblack Film(s) directed by the legendary RZA from Wu-Tang Clan. "CoCo", in which she will play the title character, is a Brooklyn-set drama about an aspiring rapper in her twenties who wants a career in hip-hop but is stuck between fulfilling her parents wishes to finish college. According to Deadline, the film has a bit of an 8 Mile edge to it.

The film is said to feature Common, Jill Scott, Lucien Laviscount, Lorraine Toussaint, and Hana Maw Lee, with a script by Nicole Jefferson Asher and production by Paul Hall. I'll keep you all posted as more information becomes available.

Many of you may have recognized the pretty face as "Amanda Diva" from MTV, VH1, etc. However, she's going by a new name now... 'Killandra Bea'. Amanda Seales has collaborated with musician Kris Bowers to "come and pay respects to the Wu-Tang Clan" with the support of a four piece band named The Shinobis. Their set is a jazz infused interpretation of the classic album 'Enter the Wu-Tang : 36 Chambers" (which celebrated it's 20th anniversary last November) along with a little humor on the side. Prior to their premiere show last Thursday at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, Life+Times caught them for a brief wrap up about #MoBettaWu.

Time Warp... 1999 : Baby, I got your money | Ol' Dirty Bastard (ODB) x Kelis

The infusion of scenes from the ~~hilarious~~ black-exploitation film, Dolemite, were so fitting for this track. Yesterday, marked the 9th anniversary of ODB's death. Tomorrow, would have been his 45th birthday. In lieu of the remembrance to the Wu-Tang clan legend, it's only right today's Time Warp be tributed to him…
